North Union School Election Results

Armstrong, IA (KICD)–Voters in the North Union School District passed a pair of ballot measures on Tuesday.
Public Measure A calls for a Physical Plant and Equipment Levy in the amount of $1.34 per $1,000 of property valuation.  The unofficial tally was 88-57 with over 60 percent voting in favor.  This PPEL Levy is for a 10-year-term.
Public Measure B is to adopt a revenue purpose statement for the use of money the district receives from the penny sales, services, and use tax.  The final tally had over 71 in support by a 103-42 margin.
Starting next year the Armstrong-Ringsted and Sentral School Districts will officially consolidate into the North Union School District.
The new district will see roughly $1 million in state incentives with the reorganization.

The plan is to continue whole grade sharing with North Sentral Kossuth.
