New Spencer High School Principal Named

Spencer, IA (KICD)–A new Spencer High School Principal has been hired.
Elli Wiemers, who currently serves as Assistant High School Principal, was picked from five finalists at last night’s Spencer School Board meeting.

Wiemers has been with the Spencer District since 1990 and taught 22 years of math, got involved with instructional coaching 5 years ago, and took over as Assistant High School Principal while Jade Beehler served with the National Guard this year.

Wiemers tells KICD News that she will look to build upon an already laid foundation with area businesses and high schools to look at how to integrate career opportunities into the high school academic experience.

Elli Wiemers will take over for the retiring Joe Mueting as High School Principal next year.
