Mosquitos In Spencer

Spencer, IA (KICD)– The ongoing battle with mosquitos seems to have amped up in many communities this year.

Spencer Public Works Director Mark White tells KICD News that they are doing what they can to keep the count down.

City Crews have sprayed the town each of the past two week and were out again last night and this morning.
In addition city utilizes larvacide briquets that go into the catch basins which slows down the gestation period by eliminating the larvae.

Those looking to stay bite free should utilize repellents, try to avoid being outside at dusk and dawn, and try to cover as much of your body as possible.
