Milford Special Election Set

Milford, IA (KICD)–A pair of positions in the city of Milford will be decided in an August 26th special election.

Looking back to early June Former Mayor Don Lamb and City Councilmember Rick Kilts amidst disagreement with newly elected city councilmembers. This included City Administrator Matthew Skaret being placed on administrative leave. Skaret and the city have since come to terms on a separation agreement.

In late June Bill Reinsbach was appointed as Mayor with Rody Pederson appointed to the council. Reinsbach has indicated he will run in the special election while Pederson has not commented on his intentions.

Interim City Administrator Mark Stevens tells KICD News how interested citizens can go about getting on the ballot.

Petitions must be filed with the Dickinson County Auditor by noon on August 1st.
