Milford City Elections Today

Milford City Elections Today

Milford, IA (KICD)–A special election for two positions in the city of Milford will be held today.

Looking back to early June Former Mayor Don Lamb and City Councilmember Rick Kilts resigned amidst disagreement with newly elected city councilmembers. This included City Administrator Matthew Skaret being placed on administrative leave. Skaret and the city later came to terms on a separation agreement.

In late June Bill Reinsbach was appointed as Mayor with Rody Pederson appointed to the council. Petitions were then filed calling for a special election for the two seats with only Reinsbach and Pederson filing to run. Write-in campaigns remain possible.

Polling will be open from 7:00-8:00 at the Milford Community Building.
