Mike Fischer Passes

  Spencer, IA (KICD) — One of Spencer’s most known faces passed away suddenly Monday.
Michael Fischer was known by many in the community for his photography and serving as the longtime owner of Nielsen’s Appliances.  Bob Bates, who had known Mike for a long time tells KICD News about Mike’s photography interest…

Bates also shared how Mike was when it came to business…

According to Fischer’s profile on www.sportsshooter.com that since picking his first camera up 45 years ago Fischer was published in a long list of newspapers and magazines.  He served as a technical sales representative for a Fortune 500 company and has 10 years experience shooting in the NFL for newspapers.

Fischer was quoted in his profile saying “the thing that’s most important to me for my clients is to understand their wants and needs and then go out and produce the images that exceeds their expectations.”No photographer in Iowa has won more first place awards from the Iowa Newspaper Association over the last 12 years than Mike Fischer.
