McDaniel Trial Continued


Spencer, IA (KICD)–The trial for a Spencer attorney has been continued to September.
61-year-old Ney Mcdaniel faces a class B felony charge of Ongoing Criminal Conduct and class C felony counts of 1st Degree Theft, and Fraudulent Practice in the First Degree.  The charges were filed after a state audit identified over $177,000 of improper disbursement to Mcdaniel for claiming false hours working as a contract defense attorney for the State of Iowa Public Defenders Office.

McDaniel’s trial, originally slated to start today, has been continued twice and is now set for September 16th.
