Market Analyst Predicts Lower Soy Prices

Spencer, IA: (Jan. 31, 2014) – Grain market analyst Elaine Kub says soybean prices are likely to drop in the weeks ahead, due largely to South American supplies moving into global market channels.

Kub was a featured speaker at the Iowa Power Farming Show in Des Moines on Wednesday. Kub says she is skeptical of reports that U.S. farmers will plant millions more acres to soybeans in 2014. She says the math doesn’t work.

Elaine Kub is author of “Mastering the Grain Markets.” She is a frequent guest on the television program “Market To Market.”
