Mallard, IA (KICD) — An arrest is made in a residential burglary.

The Palo Alto County Sheriffs Office said sometime between May 8th and May 18th, a burglary occurred at a residence in Mallard. Entry was gained and items were taken. The sheriffs office was given some information on the case, and then obtained a search warrant.

Following the search of a Mallard residence, items from the burglary were recovered. As a result, Patrick Prentice was arrested and charged with 3rd degree burglary, a class D felony, along with possession of a scheduled 2 controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of a controlled substance-marijuana.

Prentice was booked into the Palo Alto County Jail.
