Spencer, IA: (Jan. 10, 2014) – Northwest Equipment of Iowa has been sold to a South Dakota company.

Northwest Equipment, located in Spencer, Sibley and Lake Park, was purchased by Noteboom Implement Inc of Corsica, South Dakota. The deal became official on January 7th.

The Iowa acquisitions will join Noteboom John Deere dealerships located in Corsica, Chamberlain and Parkston, South Dakota.

CEO Dan Noteboom says the 45-year old family business strives to maintain “a small town family feel to the farming communities they serve.” He says they are proud to be able to retain the employees at the Spencer, Lake Park and Sibley dealerships. The combination of Iowa and South Dakota dealerships will employ over 200 people.

Northwest Equipment has been owned by Dave Hultgren and Pete Hegg for the past 25 years.
