Lake Park Power Outage

Lake Park, IA (KICD)–A portion of Lake Park has dealt without power since before 4:00 this morning.

During snow removal activities damage was done to one of the town’s primary electric lines located along Market Street between Avenue B and Avenue C in the area generally referred to as Stan’s Corner. Lake Park Municipal Utility workers have been working to restore power since that time. Three of the City’s and Utilities workers are on gas training in Ankeny leaving the staff shorthanded.

The city scrambled to find a volunteer snow removal crew composed of a retired street worker and a councilman.
