Clive, IA (KICD) — Home sale prices increased in July while home sales decreased.

That information is according to the Iowa Association of Realtors. The IAR’s July 2014 Housing Trends Report show the median home price increased by 3.5%, going from $143,000 last July to $148,000 this July.

Homes in Iowa continue to sell faster as days on market dropped again to 77 days. This is a 2.5% drop from 79 in July 2013. 77 days marks the second-lowest number of days on market in the last 3 years. That being said, Homes sales decreased by 7.6%, when compared to July 2013. 3,888 homes were sold in July 2014, while 4,207 homes were sold in July 2013. Pending sales were only down 2.4% from a year ago.
