Estherville, IA (KICD)– Iowa Lakes Community College is in line for grant funding through the Iowa Commission on Volunteer Service.

A state appropriation of nearly $21,000 will come from the state to leverage additional federal and local funding for the RSVP program. RSVP connects volunteers age 55 and over with service opportunities in their communities that match their skills and availability

An additional grant for nearly $6,500 is coming to Iowa Lakes through the Volunteer Generation Fund to support voluntary organizations and state service commissions in boosting the impact of volunteers in addressing critical community needs
