Half-Staff Flags This Weekend

Des Moines, IA (KICD)–Governor Terry Branstad has ordered all flags in Iowa be flown at half-staff this weekend.

The flags are being lowered in in honor of Centerville Assistant Fire Chief Michael Cooper, who was killed in the line of duty on January 31st. The governor’s directive applies to all U.S. and state flags under control of the State of Iowa.

The directive applies from 5:00 today to 8:00 Monday morning.
