Glover Named CCF Fair Queen

Spencer, Iowa (KICD) — Thirteen young ladies competed for the crown of Clay County Fair Queen last night.

Elizabeth Glover, the daughter of Louis and Lois Glover of Spencer, won the crown.  Glover said she was very surprised when her name was announced.

Glover said she really wanted to be in the competition because many of her friends have also participated in past years.

Runner-up was Cassie Day, the daughter of Darrin and Kathy Day of Everly.

This year’s Queen received a Thousand Dollars from Community Bank & Insurance, as well as numerous other gifts and prizes.

This year’s pageant was held at SCT Playhouse in Spencer.
