 Storm Lake, IA (KICD) — A Storm Lake man wanted in Georgia was arrested.
During the early morning hours of Saturday, Storm Lake Police were advised by the Georgia Department of Corrections that a person wanted in Georgia may be in the Storm Lake area.

Police were advised by Georgia officials that a warrant had been issued for 32-year old Maurice Smith, of Storm Lake, on the charge of Parole Violation reference Trafficking Cocaine.

Storm Lake Police Officers subsequently located Smith around 2-am Saturday morning, on a traffic stop, where he was taken into custody without incident.

Smith was booked into the Buena Vista County Jail and held without bond awaiting extradition back to Georgia.
