George, IA (KICD) — A George man is injured in a single vehicle accident.

On Monday morning, the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office investigated a single motor vehicle accident on A34, 1/2 mile east of George.  28-year old Jordan Furman was driving a 2004 Kia Sorento west on A34 when he became fatigued and entered the south ditch.

The vehicle became disabled after it struck a utility pole owned by Alliant Energy. Furman received minor injuries. The vehicle received approximately $6,000 in damages and the utility pole received approximately $2,500 in damages.
