Fonda Water Boil

Fonda, IA (KICD) — The city of Fonda is under a Boiling Water Advisory.
A Thursday water main break in their distribution system caused pressure to be lost.  As a result, Fonda residents are recommended to boil water before drinking or cooking.  It’s advised to bring the water to a boil for a minute, then let it cool before using, or use bottled water.  The water may be used for bathing or similar purposes.
Residents will be notified when the advisory is lifted.  The Iowa DNR is assisting with the situation.  For more information, residents are asked to contact City Hall.
