Fall Food Drive Collaboration

Fall Food Drive Collaboration

Spencer, IA (KICD)–A submission by the local EF Foundation has garnered and additional $1,000 for the Clay County Upper Des Moines Food Pantry.
Janet Dillard tells KICD News that the EF Foundation called on over 800 Individual Education Coordinators across the nation to have a food drive in the area with their foreign exchange students.  Dillard thought it would be a good idea to connect with the annual Fall Food Drive at the Southpark Mall which is sponsored by KICD Radio.

Dillard details their efforts.

Upper Des Moines Outreach Coordinator Anita Jorgenson shared her gratitude for the collaboration.

Between 1,500 and 1,600 items were collected during the Fall Food Drive.
The EF Foundation matches host families with students from 25 countries.
