Estherville, IA (KICD) — An Estherville man is jailed after a standoff incident.

The Emmet County Sheriffs Office received a call from a Wallingford citizen, just after 3 Thursday afternoon. 22-year old Dennis Williams had a gun in the driveway, at 208 North 3rd Street, in Wallingford.

Upon arrival of officers, it was determined Williams had a 12 gauge shotgun. After talking with an Iowa State Patrol negotiator for about 20 minutes, Williams surrendered. He was arrested and charged with going armed with intent, a class D felony, carrying weapons, stalking and 1st degree harrassment..

Following an appearance before the judge, Williams remains in custody, in the Emmet County Jail, on an $11,000 cash only bond. Assisting at the scene was the Iowa Department of Transportation Motor Vehicle Enforcement Division and the Iowa Division of Narcotics Enforcement.
