Estherville Motorcycle Accident

Estherville, IA (KICD) — An Estherville man was injured in a motorcycle accident.

The Emmet County Sheriff s Office says the accident happened shortly before 6 Saturday evening, on County Road N-32. a mile and a half north of Highway 9. 36-year old Paul Thornburg was driving a 2013 Victory motorcycle northward at what appeared to be a high speed, when he crossed into the southbound lane. Thornburg then lost control of the cycle.

As the motorcycle neared the shoulder, it went down, rolling end over end through the ditch into a drainage ditch, where it came to rest.  Thornburg was ejected from the bike. He was taken to the Estherville Hospital with incapacitating injuries. The motorcycle was totalled.
