Estherville, IA (KICD) — A Ringsted man is injured in an accident after trying to light a cigarette.

Estherville Police responded to the accident on Grandview Drive Wednesday afternoon. 46-year old Timothy Anderson was driving south in a 2000 Oldsmobile Intrigue, when he tried to light a cigarette. the Olds then veered into the opposite lane, going over a curb and down an embankment. the car then rolled onto it’s top before coming to rest.

Anderson received minor injuries in the crash, and was cited for driving while suspended and failure to maintain control.
