Erratic Driver Drug Arrest

Pocahontas, IA (KICD) — A report of an erratic driver leads to the arrest of a Gilmore City man.

The Pocahontas County Sheriffs Office investigated the report late Monday evening, called in from a citizen, from Buena Vista County of a older blue vehicle heading east into Pocahontas County, but driving eratically. Deputies located the vehicle west of Pocahontas, then initiated a traffic stop.

Upon investigation, 41-year old Steven Johnson was arrested for Operating While Intoxicated/Drugged 2nd offense, Possession of Methamphetamine, a class D felony, and Interference With Official Acts. He was booked into the Pocahontas County Jail on a $6300 cash bond.
