Emmetsburg Car Burglaries

Emmetsburg, IA (KICD) — Emmetsburg Police are investigating a rash of vehicle burglaries.

It’s reported that since Wednesday, police have taken nine complaints of unoccupied vehicle thefts. Police Chief Eric Hanson tells KICD News that 9 vehicles were locked. He said it’s not sure what the perpetrators may be searching for, and says a good thing for residents to do is to make sure their vehicle is locked, and remove and valuable items from it.. There was also a theft at a residence, where several outdoor solar lights and accessories were taken.

Anyone with information on any of the incidents is asked to contact the Emmetsburg Police.
