Estherville Lincoln Central School Lockdown

Estherville, IA (KICD)–A northwest Iowa school goes into lockdown for 3 hours.

On Thursday morning, Estherville Lincoln Central School went into a lockdown status. Superintendant Tara Paul spoke with KICD News, giving the reasoning to the lockdown…

This is the second time incident of a bullet being found in the school, as back in December, a casing was found in a hallway.  While the shell was found in a classroom this time, Paul said the following investigation did not produce any answers…

She says initiating the lockdown is part of a standard procedure the school district has in place…

Efforts will continue to find the reasoning behind the shell turning up in the school.  The lockdown was initiated around 9-am and was cancelled around 12-pm, with classes resuming normal schedule.
