Doon Burglaries Arrest

 Doon, IA (KICD) — An Ireton man faces numerous charges in a burglary spree.
  On August 16th and 19th, 2013, the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office investigated burglaries at 7 Doon businesses.which included Hiller Lumber, Corner Cafe, Doon Steakhouse (16th and 19th), DJ’s Service Station, Farmer’s Elevator and Sparkle Car Wash Equipment.
  After investigation, 32-year old Adam Smith was arrested and charged with 7 counts of 3rd Degree Burglary (Class D Felonies), 1 count of 2nd Degree Theft (Class D Felony), 2 counts of 5th Degree Theft, 3 counts of 4th Degree Criminal Mischief and 4 counts of 5th Degree Criminal Mischief.
Smith is currently incarcerated in the Sioux County Jail in Orange City on other charges not related to these cases.  He is facing maximums of over $72.000 and up to over 45 years in jail on the charges.

The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office assisted in the investigations.
