Dan Gable Keynotes Wellness Expo

Spencer, IA – (KICD) A former Olympic Gold Medal Wrestler and the all-time winningest coach at the University of Iowa will be the keynote speaker at this year’s Wellness Expo Saturday, April 5th in Spencer.

Dan Gable was head coach of Iowa s Wrestling program from 1976 to 1997.  He won 15 NCAA National Wrestling Team Titles while compiling a career record of 355-21-5.  He coached 152 All-Americans, 45 National Champions, 106 Big Ten Champions and 12 Olympians.  Gable also won a Gold Medal at the famed 1972 Summer Olympics in Germany without surrendering a single point.

Coach Gable will be speaking at 3:30pm in the Events Center, as part of the 2nd Annual Wellness Expo and is sponsored by Spencer and Lakes Convenient Healthcare.  The day long Expo will run from 10am to 4pm and will be free to the public with several thousand dollars in prizes.

The Wellness Expo is put on by The Spencer Radio Group, Newsradio 1240 KICD, Lite 104.9 and CD 107.7.  More information will be available on our station websites soon.
