Classroom Collections

Spencer, IA (KICD)–The 24th annual Spencer Classroom Collections Project is underway.

Southpark Mall Manager Kathy Anderson tells KICD News that there are 558 students in the Spencer Public, Sacred Heart and Iowa Great Lakes Lutheran schools that need help with their school supplies this year. That is up from last year s 549 students.

Spencer Elementary Principal Lucas DeWitt says this program is very helpful for the students.

Anderson says you can purchase school supplies on your own or make a donation.

The Classroom Collections Project is a joint collaboration by the Southpark Mall, Newsradio 1240 KICD, CD 107.7, and Lite 104.9. The deadline to make a donation is July 26th.
