Spencer, IA (KICD) — Several items received the go ahead at Monday night’s Spencer City Council meeting.
  Amongst items the board approved was the contract for the 2014 Parking Lot Improvement Project.  Also approved was the contract for the East 18th Street Overlay project, which is set to happen this summer.
  Police Chief Mark Lawson gave an update on how the moving of the department into the new location is progressing, and the council approved quotes for Server Room Equipment and Wireless Access points for the Police Relocation Project.
  The council also learned of the appointing of Travis Cooke onto the Historical/Preservation Commission, and Planning and Zoning Board, with both terms set to expire as of June 30th, 2015.
