CCREC 10-Year Anniversary

CCREC 10-Year Anniversary

Spencer, IA (KICD)–The Clay County Regional Events Center continues to celebrate their 10th anniversary show season.
General Manager Scott Hallgren tells KICD News that they have posted a video and flipbook online to celebrate some of the many highlights of the Events Center.

Hallgren says the first time they brought in the Ringling Brothers Barnum & Bailey Circus to town, when they sold out a WWE show, and a visit from Bill Clinton stand out from the pack when looking at the many attractions they have brought to Spencer.

Hallgren says things are coming around full circle as he attempted to have Bill Cosby as the first show ever at the Events Center 10 years ago and now he is coming to perform in May.

Numbers wise Hallgren estimates they have had an economic impact of at least $35 million to the area, over 516,000 who attended non fair events, and over 2,700 events held.
