Bridge Replacement Delay

Everly, IA (KICD)–A pending detour due to replacement of the Ocheyedan River Bridge on Highway 18 in Clay County has been pushed back.

The Iowa DOT has delayed the start of the detour from this Monday to May 27th due to weather concerns.  The detour will take Highway 18 travelers through Everly on M-27, up to B-24, then to the county line at B-20, before coming back to Highway 18.

A four way stop at the intersection of County Roads B-24 and M-27 will be going up for the duration of the project.

The replacement of the Ocheyedan River Bridge on Highway 18 is expected to last through the end of October weather permitting.
