Branstad To Okoboji

Okoboji, IA (KICD) — Governor Terry Branstad will be in Okoboji Sunday.

The Governor will visit the Okoboji Classic Cars Museum, in West Okoboji Sunday afternoon to recognize Toby Shine for his contributions to the community.

Shine, president of Okoboji Classic Cars, sold a restored Dodge M37 three-quarter-ton truck and a 1959 Cessna L-19E Bird Dog earlier this year at the Barrett-Jackson Car Auction in Scottsdale, Ariz. Shine donated proceeds from the sale (nearly $1.1 million) to the Armed Forces Foundation, which assists veterans suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder.

Sunday’s program begins at 1-pm, followed by tours of the Classic Cars Museum and Restoration Shop.
