George, IA (KICD)–A Boyden man faces an attempted murder charge in connection with an assault at a home in George.
On November 7th three people were assaulted at a residence. The Lyon County Sheriff says one of those injured was eventually taken to Sioux Falls with serious injuries to his head. The other two victims received bodily injury to their heads and bodies
32-year-old Joshua Johnson was originally charged with a class C felony count of Wilfull injury. Days later he was additionally charged with a class D felony count of Going armed with intent and 3 counts of assault causing serious injury. Johnson was most recently charged with a class B felony of attempt to commit murder.
A 17-year-old male faces a class C felony charge of joint criminal conduct in connection with the incident.
A preliminary hearing is set for December 3rd.
