Armstrong, IA (KICD) — Firefighters battle a blaze at an Armstrong plant.
Around 9:45 Sunday evening, the Armstrong Fire Department responded to the call of a fire at the GKN plant.

Armstrong Fire Chief Greg Buum tells what happened when firefighters arrived on scene…

Buum says the large oven is one of several used to cook wheel rims. After extinguishing the fire, the building was ventilated and employees were allowed to return.

There were no injuries were reported.  Firefighters were on scene for about an hour.
