Spencer, IA: (Apr. 10, 2014) – A local Cooperative is helping to defray the cost of becoming a 4-H member in Clay County.

MaxYield Cooperative, headquartered in West Bend, has contributed nearly $3000 to Clay County Extension & Outreach. The funds will be used to trim $10 from the membership cost for every 4-H member in Clay County.

MaxYield spokesman Chad Meyer says they’re happy to help.

All together this year, the Cooperative has donated more than $18,000 to 4-H programs in seven counties.
