Spencer, IA: (Feb. 13, 2014) – America’s burger wars continue, with Burger King firing the latest salvo.
The Number 2 burger chain has just made its new Big King burger bigger than the iconic Big Mac.
The enlarged Big King weighs in at 4 ounces, versus 3.2 ounces for the Big Mac. Burger King North America President Alex Macedo says, “At Burger King, we know that size matters.”
Advertising for the Big King will emphasize the other big difference from the Big Mac – fire grilling.
Still, going up against the Holy Grail of burgers is daunting. Since it went national in 1968, the Big Mac is widely viewed as one of the most successful burgers in fast-food history.
