Alliant Energy Scam

Spirit Lake, IA (KICD)–The Chamber of the Iowa Great Lakes received word of an attempted scam earlier today.

A local business was called by a party indicating that it was Alliant Energy and was due to turn off their power today. In order to retain service, the business was given an address where the bill needed to be paid online immediately. The business then spoke with Alliant Energy who said that they did not make the call.
