Alleged Child Abduction Attempt


Storm Lake, IA (KICD)–Storm Lake Police are asking for assistance in locating a person in connection with an alleged attempted abduction of a child.
At approximately 3:45 p.m. Friday Police were called to the intersection of East 13th Street and Seneca Street and were told by a 7-year-old female that after getting off a school bus an unknown white male reportedly told her to  get in the car .  The child did not comply and ran to a neighbor s home where police were called. The male suspect then left the area. The victim told police the man did not attempt to grab her or physically force her into the vehicle.
The suspect is described as being a large, older white male, with a grey beard and glasses. The subject had a large black dog with him and was standing outside of a larger silver vehicle.

If you see a person and vehicle matching the aforementioned description contact local law enforcement as soon as possible.
