Albert City, IA (KICD) — An Albert CIty man will spend ten years in prison.

The Pocahontas County Sheriffs Office had charged 42-year old Mathew Gritten with 2 counts of 2nd degree sexual abuse, class B felonies, and 2 counts of lascivious acts with a child, class C felonies. Gritten was arrested after a DHS report showed he had sexually abused a child under 12 on January 15th.

Gritten did plead guilty to two counts of lascivious acts with a child. He was sentenced to ten years in prison on each count, to be served concurrently. He was also ordered to complete a sex offender program.
