Accident Sends Three To Hospital

Royal, IA (KICD)–Three were taken to the hospital after a four vehicle accident near Royal on Sunday afternoon.

The Clay County Sheriff’s Office says Ron Sadler of Ida Grove went south through the intersection at B-40 and M-27. His pickup was struck by a westbound SUV driven by James Getzfred of Elgin, Nebraska who failed to obey a stop sign. These two vehicles then collided with a pair of motorcycles which were stopped at the west stop sign of the intersection driven by Kevan and Lisa Kaiser of Hartley.

Sadler, Getzfred and Kevan Kaiser were all taken to Spencer Hospital to be treated for injuries. Getzfred was cited for failure to obey a stop sign.
