Emmetsburg, IA (KICD) — A car vs bike accident injures one.

On Sunday, Scott Colemen of Emmetsburg was leaving a driveway, in a Chevy Cavalier, and failed to see Lois Dunigan of Emmetsburg riding a bike, and the two collided.

Dunigan was taken to the Palo Alto County Hospital by ambulance. Coleman was cited for Failure To Yield Upon Entering a Through Highway.

Mallard, IA (KICD)–A Mallard woman was jailed following a weekend incident.

Palo Alto County Deputies were called to a report of 52-year-old Felicia Norman violating a protective order. She was found sitting at the city park in an intoxicated stated.

After investigation Norman was charged with serious assault, violation of a protective order, and public intoxication.

Spencer, IA (KICD)–An OWI charge has been filed against a Spencer woman.

Results from the DCI crime lab indicated the presence of marijuana and methamphetamine in 22-year-old Brittany Frink’s system during a June traffic stop.

Storm Lake, IA (KICD)–An intoxicated Storm Lake man was arrested after making numerous overtures to a woman.

It is alleged that 35-year-old Jay Jay approached his neighbor who was on the front porch. He the made statements with romantic overtones. The reporting party told Jay to leave and upon attempting to close her door on him he blocked it with his foot. After repeatedly telling Jay to  no she was able to push her door closed.

Jay had departed the scene but returned a short time later where police arrested him. Police charged Jay with Criminal Trespass and Harassment 3rd Degree

Emmetsburg Downtown Accident

Emmetsburg, IA (KICD) — An Emmetsburg woman is charged after a two vehicle accident.

On Friday, the Emmetsburg Police said Angela Finer was stopped at the intersection of Palmer Street and Main Street, waiting to turn east, and failed to see a westbound 2007 Ford Fusion, in the inside lane, due to a westbound pickup, that was slowed to turn onto Palmer Street, in the outside lane.

Finer broadsided the Fusion. Both reported injuries, and the Fusion driver, Laurie Stephenson of Fort Dodge was taken to the hospital by ambulance, while Finer refused transport. Finer was charged with Failure To Obey A Stop Sign.
