Everly, IA (KICD)–An Everly man wanted on five Clay County arrest warrants for failure to appear was arrested last week.

18-year-old Cody Freeberg was wanted for failing to appear on the original charges of Driving While Barred, Driving Under Suspension, Failure to File S.R. Insurance, No Insurance and Speeding. He was held on a 10,000 cash or surety bond.

Estherville, IA (KICD)–Investigation into a complaint of gun shots led to and Estherville woman’s arrest on drug charges early Sunday morning.

An odor of marijuana was detected by Estherville Police. A search of the home of 20-year-old Crystal Rodriguez led to charges of Possession of Marijuana, Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Gathering were Controlled Substances Are Used, and Unlawful Possession of Prescription Drugs.

Storm Lake, IA (KICD)–A Storm Lake man has been arrested for striking his daughter with a belt.

Storm Lake Police allege that the assault led to injuries to the 14-year-old girl’s lower extremities. The investigation further alleges that the assault occurred because the father, 35-year-old Abel Ek Chan, was upset that his daughter was in a relationship with another female.

Chan has been charged with Assault in Violation of Individual Rights Causing Bodily Harm.
