Storm Lake, IA (KICD)–Two murder suspects from Wisconsin were taken into custody in Storm Lake Sunday.
The suspects were wanted in connection with an alleged gang related drive by shooting in Beloit January 22nd which resulted in the shooting death of a 5-year-old child. Storm Lake Police were joined by FBI and Iowa DCI Agents Sunday.
The suspects, 23-year-old Sergio Ortiz-Raygoza and 22-year-old Eric Salazar-Mota were eventually located and arrested. Ortiz-Raygoza was wanted on warrants charging him with Homicide and Aggravated Discharge of a Weapon. Salazar-Mota was wanted on warrants charging him with Homicide, Substantial Battery, Child Abuse, Fleeing / Eluding, and a federal warrant charging him with Flight to Avoid Prosecution.
Both men were booked into the Buena Vista County Jail and held pending extradition.
Spencer, IA (KICD)–A compliance check Friday led to drug charges against a Spencer man.
The Clay County Sheriff’s Office and Adult Probation and Parole conducted a compliance check at the home of 27-year-old Kevin Vail. After Vail was found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia as search warrant was applied for and marijuana and additional drug paraphernalia was found.
Vail has been charged with violation of probation and possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
Inwood, IA (KICD) — A Paullina woman is arrested on numerous charges Thursday.
The Lyon county Sheriffs Office arrested Tina Tracy for active Lyon County warrants for 2 counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance, one for marijuana and one for methamphetamine. The arrest warrants stem from a search warrant which was conducted on Tracy’s vehicle after it was towed November 1st, 2015 when she was arrested for different charges.
Marijuana and Methamphetamine were found in the vehicle during the search warrant.
Cherokee, IA (KICD) — A Marcus man is arrested after an assault incident.
The Cherokee County Sheriffs Office was called to a report of an assault. The victim told deputies that Wade Tolle had forced entry into his residence, then assaulted him. Deputies did see damage to the door, and minor injuries to the victim’s face.
Tolle was located a short time later, and was arrested. He was charged with burglary in the first degree, a class B felony.
