Graettinger, IA (KICD) — A Graettinger woman is charged after a domestic assault report.

The Palo Alto County Sheriffs Office said around 11:40 Sunday evening, they took a report of the incident in Graettinger. Upon investigation, officers arrested 35-year old Jennifer Mann, She remains in the Palo Alto County Jail.

Sioux Rapids, IA (KICD)– Charges against a Storm Lake man in a stabbing in Sioux Rapids have been changed.

The Buena Vista County Attorney’s Office said after review of facts and circumstances in the case, the charges against 43-year old Pedro Orozco have been changed to attempted murder, a class B felony.

The Buena Vista County Sheriff said that the incident that occurred on July 9th, resulted in charges of willful injury against Orozco, after he allegedly stabbed 19-year-old Chayton Quail of Spencer, after an altercation. Quail is still hospitalized due to the injuries.

Orozco is being held in the Buena Vista County Jail on a $50,000bond.

Everly, IA (KICD)–A complaint of a suspicious vehicle and people setting up tents in an unauthorized area last Wednesday at Scharnberg Park preceded the arrest of a Spencer man.

27-year-old Joshua Haburn was placed in the back seat of a Clay County Sheriff’s squad car after being found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia. Haburn escaped the squad car and resisted arrest during re-apprehension.

Haburn has been charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Interference with Official Acts and Escape from Custody.

Storm Lake, IA (KICD)–Two Storm Lake men were arrested following a Saturday evening altercation at the Knights of Columbus Hall.

Storm Lake Police were advised by witnesses that 32-year-old Gustavo Gonzalez-Barraza allegedly struck 31-year-old Jose Cota in the face and bit him on his arm causing a minor injury.

Gonzalez-Barraza was charged with Assault Causing Injury and Public Intoxication. Cota was charged with Public Intoxication. He declined medical attention.
