Spencer, IA (KICD)–A Spencer teen was arrested last week after leading a Spencer Police on a high speed chase.

A Clay County Deputy located the vehicle at an abandoned farm last Tuesday. The 16-year-old male was cited for 2 counts of speeding including going 100 miles per hour in a 55 zone, two counts of failure to obey a stop sign and reckless driving.

The teen was also cited into juvenile court for Eluding and released to the custody of the detention officer.

Mallard, IA (KICD) — A loose dog report gets a man arrested.

The Palo Alto County Sheriffs office took a report of a dog at large in Mallard, which violated a city ordinance. The dog belonged to Harley Tindall of La Verne, Iowa. He was cited for that, and upon investigation, Tindall was in possession of controlled substance and paraphernalia. He was given additional charges and was placed in jail.

Spirit Lake, IA (KICD) — A Spirit Lake man wanted on a warrant is arrested.
  On Sunday, Spirit Lake Police arrested Peter Wood for a Clay County Warrant.  Upon making contact with Wood he was found to have what’s believed to be meth, so he received additional charges and was booked into jail.
Sheldon, IA (KICD) — A Sheldon home is burglarized over the weekend.

Sheldon Police report that over the holiday weekend is when the incident occurred, and after gaining entry to the house through forcible means, several items were damaged or destroyed, with others stolen.

Among the missing items, a car stereo amp, and a cell phone charger were stolen from the residence, while A TV, computer monitor and a garage door were damaged or destroyed, with a valued around $1300.

The investigation continues.
