Sherburn, MN (KICD) — A Sherburn woman receives injuries after rolling her car.
The Minnesota State Patrol said the accident happened shortly after 6 Monday morning, on highway 15, 2 miles north of Sherburn. Cynthia Bettin was driving a 2007 Buick Lucerne north, when she lost control on the icy road,
The Buick entered the ditch and rolled over. Bettin received non-life threatening injuries in the accident.
Ashton, IA (KICD) — A Little Rock woman is injured in a single vehicle accident.
On Friday, Julia Schaa was driving a 2016 chevy Silverado west on 230th Street, just west of Ashton, shen she lost control due to icy conditions. As she tried to regain control, the pickup then slid into the ditch and rolled.
Schaa was taken to the Osceola Community Hospital by ambulance.
Hartley, IA (KICD)–A Hartley woman was injured following a weekend accident.
The O’Brien County Sheriff s Office says 19-year-old Madison Albrant was heading east on Highway 18 at 4:15 Saturday afternoon . Albrant lost control on the slushy road and her car entered the south ditch and rolled onto its top. He took out a County road sign in the accident.
Albrant was taken to Spencer Hospital by Hartley Ambulance.
Storm Lake, IA (KICD) — Four teens from Storm Lake are arrested on drug charges.
On Saturday evening, Storm Lake Police saw a vehicle sitting behind the library, and as the officer contacted the four occupants, the smell of marijuana was detected. Police identified the four juvenile, occupants as 17-year olds Pedro Enriquez and Marco Cortina, along with 16-year olds Harley Bucheli and Jose Ramirez.
The four were released pending further investigation, and a search of the vehicle turned up some marijuana and drug paraphernalia. the four were then arrested Sunday night, and charged with possession of a controlled substance, gathering where controlled substances are used and possession of drug paraphernalia. All four juveniles were processed and released to a parent pending a court date.
The case has been forwarded to the Juvenile Court Authority.
