Spencer, IA (KICD) — A Spencer business is the victim of a burglary.

Spencer Police said the burglary at Southern Archery ocurred Tuesday, around 3-am. Entrance was gained by prying open a south door. Once inside, several items were taken, including firearms. A reward is being offered for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the suspects

Storm Lake, IA (KICD)– Two men from Alabama have been arrested for stealing city of Storm Lake property.

An investigation alleges that 39-year-old Kyle Smith and 50-year-old John Webb Jr. reported they had been awarded a winning bid on an on line auction service to purchase the old service barge for scrap metal. City staff reported that someone had attempted to bid on the item but information was received that whoever bid allegedly used a false identity and the bid was rejected.

On Wednesday contracted with a company and had two loads of equipment and pieces from the barge loaded off of city property without permission and without having purchased the equipment.

Both men have been charged with two class D felony counts of 2nd Degree Theft and two counts of Criminal Trespassing.

Round Lake, MN (KICD) — A Lake Park woman was injured in a two vehicle accident.

The Jackson County Sheriffs Office says around 8:40 Thursday morning, 26-year old Rebecca Matthiesen was northbound on Jackson County Road 5, in a Chevy Equinox, when she collided with a Freightliner Semi-trailer, that was parked and unoccupied on the east side of the road.

Matthiesen was taken to Lakes Regional Healthcare by Lake Park Ambulance.

Primghar, IA (KICD)– A Virginia man was booked into the O’Brien County jail on drug charges filed by the Iowa State Patrol this week.

57-year-old Matthew Settle faces charges of furnishing controlled substances for inmates, possession of marijuana, and public intoxication. Settle will make an initial court appearance next Thursday.

Primghar, IA (KICD)– The O Brien County Sheriff s Office is investigating two construction theft reports.

Some tools were taken from a construction trailer at a rural Primghar construction site sometime between Wednesday and Thursday. The amount of loss is undetermined at this time.

Forced entry at Dau Construction in Calumet occurred during the early morning hours on Tuesday. Small tools were reported missing.

Emmetsburg, IA (KICD)– Six bicycle thefts were reported in Emmetsburg following a Monday overnight RAGBRAI stop.

The value of the bikes was $6,350.
