Spencer, IA (KICD)–Clay County Fairgoers will have an opportunity on Saturday morning to break a Guinness World Record.
Northwest Iowa STEM Coordinator Kari Webb tells KICD News that they are looking to host the world’s largest science experiment with the hope of at least 1,500 in attendance.
Webb says there will be two experiments which both focus on the effects of gas-phase reaction.
The current record involves 749 participants and was achieved by students at a junior high in Oslo, Norway, on November 14th of 2012.
Those wishing to take part in this world record attempt can show up to the grandstand starting at 10:20. The event will start at 11:00 sharp.
