Spencer, IA (KICD)–Roughly 800 people packed the Clay County Fair Grandstand to set a Guinness World Record on Saturday.
Northwest Iowa STEM Coordinator Kari Webb tells KICD News they were looking to host the world’s largest science experiment.
The focus of the science lesson was “The Power of Air.”
The paperwork from today’s experiment will now be submitted to Guinness officials. The standing record involved 749 participants and was achieved by students at a junior high in Oslo, Norway, on November 14th of 2012.
