Spencer, IA (KICD)–Drivers who travel on the west end of Spencer are being advised of the latest happenings with the West Beltway project.
West 4th Street is now open to through traffic. 200th Avenue is still closed to through traffic. Only residents and emergency vehicles may access this road.The plan is to pave 200th Avenue from Highway 18 south to the Airport road next Monday and Tuesday. The Airport will need to be accessed from the south. Emergency vehicles as well as anyone needing to get to the Airport will need to take W 4th Street out to 180th Avenue then north to 340th Street then East to 200th Avenue then north to the airport. When they start paving from the airport road south to 18th street you will need to access the airport from Highway 18
Eaton’s employees still need to utilize the temporary entrance on the south side onto West 4th Street.
Emergency vehicles or anyone doing business with an establishment in the Industrial Park will have to take W 4th street out to 180th Avenue then north to 340th Street then east to the Industrial Park.
As of this coming Monday West 18th Street from 4th Avenue W to 200th Avenue W will be closed to through traffic. Emergency vehicles, residents and anyone going to a business on 18th street may access this road.
