Webb, IA (KICD) — A vehicle in the ditch results in a 911 call and a 16-year old being cited.
The Clay County Sheriffs Office said shortly after 4 Monday afternoon, they received a 911 call from a passerby, after driving by a vehicle in the ditch, in the 2900 mile of B-63. The caller stated that the vehicle appeared to have extensive damage.
Upon arrival at the scene, the deputy was informed the vehicle was towed out of the ditch, and removed. Shortly thereafter, a deputy noticed a vehicle being towed, then contacted the owner, Zachary Rust, who said his daughter was driving the car and put it in the ditch, so he towed it.
As a result, the 16-year old driver was cited for Failure To Maintain Control. The Webb Fire and Rescue Department assisted on the scene.
