Spencer, IA (KICD)–The final filing of a pair of zoning ordinance changes that would help clear the way for the Iowah Chicken Bullion project to proceed highlight tonight’s Spencer City Council agenda.
Hensall Condiments is looking to construct a 150,000 square foot building at the Green Industrial Center. It is estimated by year three of operation that Iowah Chicken Bouillon would be responsible for just over 433 jobs in the region with a potential $51 million yearly impact to Spencer and the surrounding area. In past council sessions only Steve Bomgaars has voted against the zoning changes.
A replat of land at the Green Industrial Center and an amendment for the Protective and Restrictive Covenants of the Plat of th Green Industrial Center for the Hensall project are also on the agenda tonight.
Tonight’s meeting starts at 6:30 in the council chambers of Spencer City Hall.
