Rodman, IA (KICD)–Six were hospitalized following a one vehicle rollover Sunday morning near Rodman.
The Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office says 18-year-old Payton Gibbons of Sanborn lost control of his northbound 1999 Ford in the 3400 block of 560th Avenue just before 11:30 a.m. Gibbons entered the west ditch and field and when he started to exit the field driveway the car slid sideways and rolled several times across the gravel road before coming to a rest in the east ditch.
Payton and five others from Emmetsburg were injured. 14-year-old Brice Colling and Payton were taken to Palo Alto County Hospital. 15-year-olds Jade Colling and Geneveve Lowman, 14-year-old Ashley Keller, and 5-year-old Kaylee Colling were taken to Kossuth Regional Health Center. Gibbons was cited for failure to maintain control.
West Bend, Whittemore, and Emmetsburg Ambulance and the West Bend Fire Department assisted on scene.
Emmetsburg, IA (KICD)–Drug charges were filed this weekend at the Wild Rose Casino.
The Iowa DCI reported possible drug activity to the Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office early Sunday morning. After investigation Michael Klatt of Maumee, Ohio and Markus Peterson of Spencer were each charged with possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia.
Both men were held in Palo Alto County jail to appear before a judge.
Graettinger, IA (KICD)–A Spencer man was recently arrested for assaulting a Graettinger man.
The Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office says 47-year-old Todd Stromley was assaulted by 27-year-old Corey Mcguire earlier this month.
Mcguire was located and charged with assault causing bodily injury. Stromley refused medical attention and Mcguire sought his own care.
Spencer Police assisted with the investigation.
