Spencer, IA (KICD)–Outdoor recreation and conservation will highlight this evening’s Resource Enhancement and Protection assembly in Spencer.
REAP is a program that provides grants for and encourages enhancing and protecting Iowa’s natural and cultural resources. Coordinator Tammie Krausman tells KICD News that they dole out $16 million in state funds each year to cities and counties for parks, trails, water and soil quality, and even historic presrvation.
October 16th’s REAP assembly is one of 11 being held across Iowa and takes place from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. at the Clay County Regional Events Center. Doors open at 6:00 for an open house period.
